Celebrating American Heart Month - Resources and Programs to Raise Awareness
February 1, 2023
February is dedicated to bring additional attention to one of the most critical issues we face in this country - heart disease.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the United States. To put that in perspective, that means:
- One person dies every 34 seconds in the United States from cardiovascular disease
- Nearly 700,000 people in the United States died from heart disease in 2020
- In the US, someone has a heart attack every 40 seconds (https://www.cdc.gov/heartdisease/facts.htm)
At Recora, heart health is at the focus of the work we do every day. Our mission is to empower everyone to live a long, full, and optimal life by redefining the future of heart health. We have tremendous respect and appreciation for the efforts of all who participate and help to support American Heart Month.
